Year 11 GCSE Results Morning 21st August 2025

Redland Green School celebrates remarkable GCSE and BTEC success

Redland Green School is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of its students in this year’s GCSE and BTEC examinations. The results reflect the talent, perseverance, and ambition of the Class of 2025, supported by the unwavering commitment of staff and the encouragement of families.

Headline outcomes include:

  • 80% of students achieved at least 5 GCSEs at grade 4 and above, including English and Maths

  • 66% achieved at least 5 GCSEs at grade 5 and above, including English and Maths

  • 41% of all grades were awarded at grade 7 or higher

Among the many individual successes are those who secured multiple grade 9s, with five students achieving this highest grade in at least six subjects – an exceptional accomplishment that speaks to years of dedication and focus.

But at Redland Green, every result matters. Whether it is a student surpassing expectations, achieving a personal best, or overcoming challenges to secure their qualifications, the school celebrates the hard work and progress behind every grade.

Headteacher Ben Houghton said:
"These results represent far more than exam outcomes – they are the product of resilience, kindness, ambition, and community. They show what can be achieved when young people, staff, and parents work in partnership with a shared sense of purpose. This year group are not only successful, but also caring, thoughtful, and principled – they truly represent the best of RGS. We are immensely proud of them all."

The school also paid tribute to the support of parents and careers, whose encouragement and belief have been central to the students’ journeys.

Looking ahead, Redland Green is confident that the Class of 2025 will continue to embody the school’s values of Respect, Ambition, and Responsibility as they move on to exciting futures. The school wishes every student the very best in their next steps – with many choosing to remain within the RGS community at the North Bristol Post 16 Centre, where they will continue their education journey and build on these outstanding foundations.
